Sophia Lin has performed throughout the United States in recitals and concerts since the age of five. She has appeared as a featured soloist with the El Camino Youth Symphony and the Saratoga Symphony Orchestra, and has participated in music festivals including Music@Menlo and the Gijón International Piano Festival.

An award-winning performer, Sophia has earned first prizes at the Thera Rabinowitch and Marilyn Mindell Piano Competitions. She is also a two-time United States Open Music Competition gold medalist and a three-time alternate winner in the Music Teachers’ Association of California Solo and Concerto Competitions.

Sophia earned her bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Northwestern University under Sylvia Wang, and completed her master’s degree at Peabody Conservatory studying with Steven Spooner. She attended the University of Miami with a full scholarship as a teaching assistant for her doctorate degree under Santiago Rodriguez and graduated in Spring 2026.
